On this, the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation, we break from the expository series we’re in to talk about our roots as Protestant Christians. Imagine if the Word of God did not exist in the English language. Imagine if the authorities found in your possession a Bible verse written on a piece of paper, that you would be executed. This is the profound spiritual darkness that reigned as the Reformation dawned. God raised up a quiet, humble Christian named William Tyndale who determined to get the Bible to people in English, no matter the cost. This is his story, and ours as well.
