Come With a Testimony to Share (April 29, 10:30 am)
Members and attenders are invited to share a brief (1-2 minute) word of testimony about what you’ve seen God do your time at Grace Church of Alexandria this Sunday April 29 at the 10:30 am worship service. This will be the next-to-last gathering of our church family before we close in a final 10:30 worship service on May 6, 2018.
Lead Pastor Jonathan Matías will preach a short sermon on the value of sharing and re-telling the works of God to bring Him praise. Then the congregation will be invited to share briefly a word of their own, before we celebrate Communion together:
- How has God worked in your life through Grace Church?
- What works of God have you seen while at Grace Church?
- Do you have a funny story from church life to tell?
- What will you remember most about the church family?
Come ready to share a short word of praise to fuel our worship, to declare the acts of the Lord that he’s done in our midst.
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love
and his wondrous works for all humanity.
Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders. (Psalm 107:31-32)
Next to Last Gathering of Grace Church
Grace Church has only two Sundays remaining to worship together. Our last gathering as a local church will be on Sunday May 6, 2018, when we vote to close permanently (at a 9:30 am members meeting) and then share one last worship service together (at 10:30 am), followed by a catered lunch by West End Alexandria’s Rockland’s BBQ. We give thanks to the Lord for ten grace-filled years in the City of Alexandria.
