Ten Years of Gospel Collaboration

Ten years ago Grace Church Alexandria launched as a gospel outpost inside the Washington D.C. beltway under the sponsorship of Heritage Bible Church. We are forever grateful for the gospel partnership we have shared with Heritage since our inception in November 2007. Our congregation came about very much through the prayer, team members, funding, and ongoing support we received in our first years as a church.

Day of Celebration: Sunday, July 30, 2017

This Sunday, we will mark 10 years of gospel collaboration with Heritage Bible Church. A team from Heritage—Mark Vowels and Pete Hansen—will spend the weekend catching up and idea-sharing with our deacons and pastors. On Sunday, they will teach and minster the Word for our encouragement. Mark and Pete are actively involved in Heritage’s missions efforts around the world and in the U.S. Join us for their talks!

Partnership in the Gospel

The church at Philippi was an integral part of Paul’s mission efforts across the Roman empire. He writes the following to them:

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6)

This same spirit of gratitude marks our hearts as we think of the investment of countless people at Heritage Bible Church to plant churches nationwide and worldwide, and one church in particular in the City of Alexandria.
