What Does a Godly Christian Look Like?
What character qualities mark the life of a Christian who is growing? Furthermore, what character qualities show up in a congregation that is growing and walking together with Christ?
Join us Sundays at 9:30 am for Joyful Community, an 8-week class exploring what it means to live as a Christian in community with the body of Christ.
Sharing Life Together
The motto of Grace Church Alexandria is “sharing life together.” We are a true and genuine family for those who came—a place to call home, a place to belong. So then, how do we do community together? What does it look like to laugh, and cry, and serve, and grow, and challenge one another as fellow church members seeking to submit to the Lordship of Christ to bring him glory? A great place to discover what a godly life looks like is a church covenant.
Living the Church Covenant
While Grace Church’s statement of faith expresses what we believe together, while our church covenant express how we agree to live together. In Joyful Community, with an open Bible, we’ll discuss the character qualities that ought to mark a growing Christian and healthy church.
Each week we’ll explore one of the six themes of our covenant: Congregation, Communion, Transformation, Intercession, Compassion, and Mission. Join us Sundays at 9:30 am in July and August for this engaging discuss of what a godly life and health church look like.
Previous Adult Bible Class themes we’ve covered include Gender and Sexuality, Religious Freedom, Discipleship 101, Missions For Everyone, Church History, Little Hearts; Big Truths, and more.
